Dr Dipender Gill

Dipender is a Clinician Scientist and leading expert in leveraging human genetic data to inform drug discovery and development. He holds a Medical Degree from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from Imperial College London. Dipender’s academic expertise centers on human genetics and Mendelian randomization as applied to studying drug effects and unravelling disease mechanisms, with over 300 research papers in this area. Dipender also has more than 10 years of experience as a practicing physician, specializing in General Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology. This is combined with the drug development experience he gained at Novo Nordisk, where he spent over 3 years optimizing human-centric evidence across the R&D portfolio from 2020 to 2023.
