Dr Sile Hu

Sile earned a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences focusing on developing state-of-art statistical model to infer the fine scale population structure and detect signal of nature selections from DNA sequencing data. He also gained substantial research experience at University of Oxford, UCL, and Imperial College London, which strengthened his deep expertise in computational biology, statistical genetics, and machine learning. This is combined with the scientific experience he gained at Novo Nordisk, where he spent over 4 years developing statistical and machine learning methods and scalable computational pipeline to conduct large scale analysis for genetic target discovery.

At Sequoia Genetics, Sile will be instrumental in advancing our mission to discover novel therapeutic targets through cutting-edge statistical and computational methods. His expertise at the intersection of genetics, AI, and drug discovery and development will drive innovation within the scope of genetics-driven drug discovery.
